The next London Fashion Models exclusive fashion networking event for London Fashion Week is on 8th September 2011 at Aura Mayfair. You must attend if you’re a:

Join us at London’s most fabulous fashion networking soiree combining fashion with pleasure, in style! Bringing together fashion professionals with the aspiring talent. We aim to assist in the forging of new connections.

Event Details

London Fashion Models will host the London Fashion Week Networking Event for the fashion and beauty industry. This event will help you create new opportunities, meet new contacts, help promote you and your services, and help with the exchange of ideas for projects you can collaborate with during London Fashion Week.

There will be many fashion gurus and modelling agencies to help you get the best out of your career including model scouts and casting directors looking for potential talent for London Fashion Week and beyond.

Make sure you bring your comp cards and business cards with you!

The event is hosted in the member’s only nightclub, Aura Mayfair  (3 mins from Green Park tube), and will provide the opportunity to mingle in a fun and chic environment with background music.

The fashion networking event will be held on 8th September 2011 starting at 7pm till 11pm.

The London Fashion Week Networking Event will take place at the celebrity and fashion hotspot, Aura Mayfair, situated next to The Ritz Hotel in Green Park (Victoria Line, Picaddily Line).

Aura Mayfair is a playground for high-ranking personalities including A-List Celebrities, Fashion Icons and Musicians including Madonna, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and many more…

London Fashion Models has hired the venue EXCLUSIVELY between 7PM – 11PM for the London Fashion Week Networking.

After 11pm you may wish to join the fashion party at Aura Mayfair till the morning hours.

The Button Club hosts the hottest party of the year, Beach Couture, taking place at a prestigious private members’ club, The Yacht London on the Thames on Wednesday 27th of July, 7PM – 1AM.

The beach fashion showcase by Rous Iland takes place on board and consists of selected swimwear and beachwear designers from the private members’ fashion boutique.

Last year’s event was a huge success and this year promises to be even bigger. It is not paid, however the models can enjoy the party on the luxurious Yacht after the showcase is over.

Media & Press: Superstar Magazine will also be on board The Yacht covering the event along side Fashion Photographers giving live photoshoots to models throughout the evening.

How To Apply – The Casting Day

The private selection of the models is done as follows:

1. Email us your stats and a headshot & body shot to info@londonfashionmodels.co.uk.
2. If shortlisted you’ll be invited to attend the casting day and sent further instructions.
3. Final decision will be made during the casting and you’ll be told if you’re successful.

Last Year’s Beach Couture

Ghanem’s collection is entitled ‘Never End, Never End, Never End’ and takes inspiration from the horror video game “Silent Hill”, the work of painter John-Henry Fuseli and the movie “Black Swan”.

The catwalk show opened with a model in a black evening gown which turned into a maxi dress as she gained height. The first part of his collection was very dark and gothic and all the models had an extreme black lipstick that reminiscence ‘the joker’ from Batman.

Black was also the predominant colour in all the capes worn by the male models, which featured a complex beading and also complicated drapery. Particularly striking was the Frankenstein inspired bride and groom in black and white bridal wear, who amusingly are also a couple in real life.

Ghanem has used luxurious fabrics such as vintage silk chiffon, duchess satin and Moroccan crepe from old couture which fit perfectly the body and create new forms and shapes.

The second part had a more feminine and sensual touch with models wearing long vaporous dresses to highlight the sexiness of the female form. Key pieces were the black and brown dresses with bird prints, the light violet ‘Black Swan’ inspired dress worn by a ballerina and a shiny pink evening gown with a very low v-cut that exuded pure sensuality.

The show had a very eclectic display of models: transsexuals, men wearing female dresses and even an overweight model, who closed the catwalk.

The result was a magnificent fashion show that broke boundaries in the name of fashion, freedom of expression, beauty and art. A dramatic and visually stunning spectacle who took the audience breath away and one of the most inspiring and artistic fashion shows I have ever seen. Channel, Dior, Gucci, Versace…watch this space because Ziad Ghanem is the hottest designer of 2011.
